Welcome to the forum - I am sorry to hear that you have been unsuccessful - always worth considering an appeal but you are clearly aware that it is an uphill struggle
Just a few points:
Just a few points:
SR panels (and to some extent appeal panels) are looking for extenuating circumstances that immediately impact the performance on the day - which may explain why the result was not as expected - probably the only one of these that does is the last one (poor lass, last thing they need when doing this test)Extenutating Circumstances Evidence :
- 3 house moves in last 3 years ( Evidence provided) - Routines heavily impacted
- Travelling to school out of county in last year
- 2 Younger siblings born over last 4 years ( Health issues with digestion evidence provided)
- Stressful family dynamic
- Started Menstrul cycle 6 months prior to exam and the day after the exam ( So child wasn't their usual self affected concentration).
again it is possible that they prefer to see higher predictions across the board but maybe some of the other extenuating circumstances show some impact here? Did she change school at any stage?Key Stage Progress Report Year 5 : Reading/Writing/Maths - ALL has met (EXS)
Predicted performace end of Year 6 : Reading ( 100 - 109), Writing ( Has met ( EXS), Maths ( 110 - 120)
that is encouraging - you will need to submit the evidence from the school before the appeal ie before you prove that the process was not FCOShould we be able to prove the process was not FCO then the school are also willing to provide more evidence and the teacher has recently highlighted child is on track for greater depths for Maths and English by the time of the SATs
