Some courses and some unis operate quite differently.
When DD applied she got one offer within a day or so. 2 within the following week or so. One of the remaining ones was a new course that needed certification so they held off offering, then decided not to run the course and asked her what she wanted to apply for instead.
The other openly said they waited until the deadline for applications before making any decisions.
This was all for the same subject.
