I assume and I only say assume as I agree it isn’t exactly clear but I think they list the top 100 plus approx and they don’t list beyond that as it states the 2024 GCSE League table for state schools in the UK is out and they’ve taken the top 100 plus roughly from this original UK sample. It also states, do note that some schools are still waiting for re-marks and further updates. So do stay tuned! I think a few of the schools will likely be added at some point and the numbers could change slightly. This is only one part though and I’m sure as previous posters have explained you can also measure progress scores which is another useful side to look at. I think it’s just to explain that Marling is frequently ranked when it comes to GCSEs so the academic side is very sound. If you consider it’s not always the first choice for boys with Pates, STRS and now Crypt increasing in popularity these results are very good as they aren’t that far off schools considered to be the big players. However, I have recently heard the positive changes taking place in Churchdown, especially in terms of progress so I think you’ve got two great options there. We had a look around Marling and it looked to be a great fit for my son. He really liked it too. We spoke to the guides who were great, and they mentioned lots of the boys got coaches from a lot further away than we are (e.g. Swindon). Very tough decision to be made in the next 7 days!
