Thank you for all the replies. Much appreciated.
As an update, I met the head teacher last week (Bucks primary) and she has strongly supported the application. She gave the rating of 2:2 and has mentioned - 'We believe **** is well suited to a grammar school setting and are strongly supporting this review given her score of 118 and her ongoing teacher assessment and NFER results over time as well as her greater depth KS2 SATs predictions. **** is conscientious and hard-working, diligent and takes great pride in the quality of learning she produces. A grammar school setting would be highly appropriate for her to continue her education.' Her predicted performance is mentioned as GDS in writing and 111-120 in Maths and Reading. Now what I noticed is they have not made a comment on what's the reason for this prediction - or maybe I am over-reading and overthinking. Also, as they have submitted the review not sure they can change any comment there.
Regarding the extenuating circumstances, they have mentioned the house share starting in 2024, but of course, with the caveat that the school was not informed before the exam.
As I start writing the parental statement I was wondering if there is any advice based on your experience and specifically the following:
1. I will mention about the house share which started in late June 2024 and continued a little after the exam. What evidence can I present - utility bills? Letter from the new owners? Anything else?
2. The attitude to learning for her last school report is 1 - Enjoys a challenge and is a highly motivated independent learner, however, the school has used 2 in their review. I did speak to the headteacher and she said they give a holistic view based on past years and that's why 2.2 scoring. But can I still mention it in my statement?
Thank you for your patience in reading this long reply but trying to assess what else is needed to better support her application!
