The 150 that got places would have largely come from those 170 but some of the 150 with spaces would have put Crypt 2nd or lower. If someone who ranked 200 for Crypt and Pates put Pates 1st, Crypt 2nd, they would have been allocated Crypt. Yet another child could have put Crypt 1st but been ranked 790 so not got a place.This! I'd just realised and was coming to post the 2025 link. So 170 kids put Crypt first, and 150 got places.
Multiple people put Pates 1st despite receiving an email from them telling them their ranking meant they didn't qualify and not to put it on the form.
I imagine there are even parents out there putting the grammar schools on the form without their child even taking the test.
