Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you haven't got the school you hoped for, faith schools can be difficult if you do not have the evidence that you are in the groups with higher chances of allocation ie church members
According to Southend LEA, moving into an area will change your place on the waiting list if you can provide all the evidence required https://www.southend.gov.uk/school-admi ... missions/6 - I am not sure of the cutoff this year for in area boys and clearly it would be crucial to know where 332 would put you on a list, you could end up moving and still not get a place.
re rejecting the offered school, I can understand why you did this - however it does mean that you now have three options for September :
1) home educate
2) private school
3) do some serious work looking at all other possible local schools to see if there are any spaces and get yourself on as many waiting lists as possible

Good morning all
I am aware am late . My son scored 332 OOC
I was hoping that he will secure place in Southend boys but we are not lucky .
Will there be any chance if I move to Southend area permanently to move up his waiting list and secure place in grammar schools .
We are worried and anxious for more than a week after the offer day because we have given 6 choices . 3 grammar schools, St. Thomas more , Billericay school and De la Salle . But Essex admissions did not give any from our 6 chosen . We were hoping if not grammar atleast one from the remaining 3 .
I was told other schools are faith schools .
They gave us another school which was not in our choice where ofsted rating is consistently poor for more than 5 years . Straight away I rejected the offer . Now we are in a situation no school offer for my son . As a parent we lost our sleep, no peace at home .
Please can I have proper response is it advisable to move now to Southend permanently.
