Thought number 1: believe it or not, 'being predicted / achieving really good A levels' is not synonymous with 'wanting to go to Oxford or Cambridge'. Many other post-18 destinations are available, and the intelligent student will consider a range of options and choose the path which best suits them.Tiffins have an impressive number of Oxbridge offers this year, it appears, even more than Wilson's, so the A-levels at Tiffins are better, isn't it?
Thought number 2: there is movement between GCSEs and year 12, which is a separate formal point of entry, therefore the cohort sitting A levels at sxhool X is unlikely to be the same cohort, in its entirety, as the one which entered the school in year 7. (
