Hi I know this is a really old post, but I am in a similar situation and just wondered if the OP got a resolution? I live in Kent and would have done my 11 plus in 1993, was informed at the time I didn’t pass which I happily accepted for the past 32 years. However a relative came forward last year and informed me that I had actually passed, but at the time was stopped from attending for certain reasons. I’m not sure if this person is being malicious, as they are known for being that way inclined ( a lot of detail was given however ).
The only feasible way this could have happened is if one of my parents had gone ahead with this plan ( one parent has passed away and the other is unable to give one hundred percent certainty on this ).
For my own mind I would really like clarification on this as it has made me look upon the passed away parent in a different light, and caused a slight rift with the relative.

I have tried contacting Kent County council, however they have informed me there are not the records from this time. I’m not sure if that is necessarily true so I am putting in a freedom of information request too.
