We are prepared to pay some of the fees for KES (if we are offered a place) and have the LA pay a similar amount to what they pay our child’s current state school.
I think what I’m going to do is order the grammar schools with the most attractive SEN policies and ofsted reports on the priority form for the 31st October. Number one choice will be the one he visited for open evening and loved.
After the educational psychologist report is finalised, they whichever SENCO is most helpful and easier to communicate with will be a green flag. And if school will let my child sit in and visit their SEN resource hubs, then we can see how my child feels.
I guess after the oct 31st deadline I can say we have new evidence and in light of this we want to name a different school?
