Yeah, that is the same as what I think. based on multiple peoples feedback that have shared their rankings and those that have also automatically qualified for Pates but live outside of the catchment area. I would say just under 120 girls with the new criteria are there above (some with test high rank also), Most (GL catchments) will have good ranking there and other schools, so they may decide to go elsewhere, or stay, Who knows. The figure that will determine how the children without any of the new criteria in their favour will depend on how many are above their rank where they have had the big advantage. Mainly those offered an automatic place at DRHS/or an 100 jump in ranking for DRHS (with GL and sibling in their favour) that did not achieve a realistic entry ranking at SHS or RHHS (say above 470 for SHS or 650 for RHHS) or didn't even get an offer either the girl schools. So you can assume they will place DRHS as their #1 preference, and probably non grammar schools for their other options because they did not qualify. (I do think the latter of only having DRHS as their only option will be in smaller numbers, maybe 10-20)Another data point that may be useful. My daughter ranked 320s for SHS, 340s for Ribston and 430s for Denmark. We are not in priority area and on the outer limits of Gloucestershire. Looking back at last year and previous years, Denmark and SHS ranks were very close. So you could assume that around 110 girls are placed lower in the ranks with the new system - when looking at this range in the rankings.
I also think those outside of GL but have a sibling are sitting around the 170 - 180 ranking for DRHS.
I am hoping the DRHS cut off will be around 440, but with the new info I am hearing, it wouldn't surprise me if the cut off will be as low as 350.
